An evening about “THE DAY THAT SHOULDN’T BE” – 29/02

This will be a regular meeting with 4 speeches, 4 evaluations and a round of Table Topics — an improvised speaking game where guests are free to participate. ADMISSION IS 100% FREE. SPEAKING IS 100% OPTIONAL.

The evening will revolve around “THE DAY THAT SHOULDN’T BE”

You’ve probably all wondered about the odd day that February 29th is, about its purpose, its necessity, its imagination.Perhaps you’ve not thought of this day in amazement, but rather in annoyance: it’s an extra working day after all.

On this day however we will celebrate an event that has not occurred ever before: a Toastmasters Fonske Leap Meeting.Moreover, the next time it can occur will be 28 years from now.

So seize the (leap) day, and join us on this rarest of occurrences.

Remember to bring your own refreshments or a refillable bottle, as the Romaanse Poort is a private venue. There is a Carrefour Express right across the street.
