Stand-up Comedy: A Fundamentals Workshop 26/01

Stand-up comedy is truly one of the most naked podium arts. There’s nothing between you & the audience but a microphone & your jokes. Not much else to fall back on, which is why “you’re so brave to do it” is one of the most common things you’ll hear as a beginning comic, and they’re not even being sarcastic. We promise!

“We all have an ego, that’s why we’re on stage” is one of the most truthful things I’ve ever heard a fellow comic say. But trust me, comedy is good for a myriad of things in daily life, and it will most certainly boost your confidence & skills as a public speaker.

Find the jokester within, in a workshop taught by Dennis Vansant, a veteran of 10 years on the circuit with a thing or two to say.
