An Evening About”ROLE MODELS” – 11/01

This will be a regular meeting with 4 speeches, 4 evaluations and a round of Table Topics — an improvised speaking game where guests are free to participate. ADMISSION IS 100% FREE. SPEAKING IS 100% OPTIONAL.

The evening will revolve around “ROLE MODELS”

The name we give to the people we want to be like. The ones we aspire to be. The ones whose behavior we would like to imitate. In the beginning it might have been our parents. Later on perhaps people that perform certain jobs. Thanks to the internet and social media and its ubiquitous presence in our lives, nowadays we are more easily brought into contact with people from the past and present worthy of emulation.

Who do you look up to in that way? And do they know? Have you met them? Have you told them this?

This meeting will be about the people that play and have played this role in our lives.

Remember to bring your own refreshments or a refillable bottle, as the Romaanse Poort is a private venue. There is a Carrefour Express right across the street.
