“ROMANCE & DATING” Meeting 13/04

This will be a regular meeting with 4 speeches, 4 evaluations and a round of Table Topics — an improvised speaking game where guests are free to participate.

This meeting’s theme will be: ROMANCE & DATING

… Some people’s definition of romance is “Netflix & chill”, or sharing an ice cream on a bench. Other people pull out all the stops & go for blindfold surprises, string quartets, flowers & fine dining – date after date after date. Some continue to do this, even after years of marriage…
Some are masters in dating lingo, in broadcasting & picking up on signals, while some of us couldn’t pick up a signal even if the future of humanity depended on it.
Dating & courtship can be awkward, hilarious, beautiful, gut-wrenching, heart-warming and dreadful – sometimes all at the same time. What pickup lines or other go-to strategies do our members generally use, and does that stuff even work? Join our meeting to become a dating expert, and join us for drinks afterwards, and who knows what might happen … …

Remember to bring your own refreshments or a refillable bottle, as the Romaanse Poort is a private venue.
